Records To Read To

Gather at Carpenter Coffee Bar for a night of author readings, curated vinyl playlists, and quiet co-reading time co-hosted by Read Write Austin. We’ll kick off the evening with a short reading from a visiting author before spinning their vinyl playlist for the evening. Then we’ll all drink our drinks, read our books, and enjoy the music.

Be sure to BYOB (Book, we’ve got the booze part handled with drinks from Carpenters Hall).

How does a silent reading night work? It’s as simple as it sounds – dive into whatever reading material you brought with you while quietly listening to the evening’s hand-selected soundtrack. We’re definitely not as strict as a library, but we’ll save any chatter until we break at 8pm to swap thoughts on our books.

Seating will be available inside Carpenter Coffee Bar, outside on our patio, and at our garden picnic tables on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage attendees to come early to claim their spot.
