Now Open, a new way to experience Houston

Houston's Finest
Hotel Saint Augustine is home to 71 hotel rooms and suites, a on-site restaurant with Chef Aaron Bludorn, Perseid, a small event space, an intimate lobby bar, Augustine Lounge, and a cloistered circular courtyard pool.
A destination for the discerning traveler, our property is adjacent to the Menil Drawing Institute and within a ten-minute drive of the museum district, Rice University, and Hermann Park. The property takes inspiration from the spirit of the museum collection and of Houston itself—a duality of old world and new, a rich diversity and a forward-thinking sensibility.
In keeping with Bunkhouse’s tradition of naming hotels after patron saints, Hotel Saint Augustine has its origin in several references—the patron saint of printing (given its proximity to the Drawing Institute); one of the cofounders of Houston, Augustus Chapman Allen; the abundance of Saint Augustine grass found throughout the city; and a nod to the month of August with all the hazy, late summer nostalgia it brings.

Helmed by Houston’s well-known chef and restaurateur Aaron Bludorn and Director of Operations Cherif Mbodji, Perseid offers a take on the quintessential neighborhood bistro through the lens of the Gulf Coast.
